Ski-in/ski-out condos are great for every type of skier. Whether you’re a sunrise skier or a person who likes to take their time, a ski-in/ski-out condo will benefit your schedule. However, ski-in/ski-out condos are especially great for families. Whether your kids are just learning to ski or old enough to drive, the convenience of a ski-in/ski-out condo will facilitate a more relaxed winter vacation experience for families. Here’s how.
Everyone can move at their own pace. If your son wants to sleep in until noon, he can. If your daughter wants to get a sunrise run, she can. Ski-in/ski-out condos can alleviate family tension around conflicting schedules, allowing every member to move at their own pace. If somebody isn’t feeling good in the morning, they can join in the afternoon without needing to borrow a car.
You can squeeze in a run before everybody wakes up. Sunrise runs are one of the best benefits of owning a ski-in/ski-out condo. If you have young children, that first, company-less run of the day might be what you need to prepare for a day of patient coaching.
You can go night skiing without worrying about childcare. If you want to catch a few last runs when the sun goes down, you won’t have to worry about keeping your kids busy with childcare or activities; they can simply hang out at the house. Additionally, the proximity to the mountain makes getting back a breeze. If there’s an emergency, you won’t have to spend the time getting off the mountain, rushing through the lodge, and driving to the condo; you can simply take the chairlift.
You can take turns parenting and skiing. If 5-year-old Lucy gets tired around noon, you or your partner can bring her back to the condo without having to drive. This can allow you to take turns watching over her and catching a few more runs on the mountain. If one member of the family doesn’t want to ski, they can simply go home; in any other condo situation, the whole family would have to leave the mountain.
